First of all, you should know I am an avid user of StumbleUpon.
Very much so.
And lately, I've been getting into Stumbling crochet-themed pages. My computer has been sent away for repairs this morning (I'm typing this on the family dinosaur), so when it gets back I'll update this post showing you just how many patterns and pages I have bookmarked.
But back on topic.
I found quite a few cell phone holders in my ventures, but none for my cell phone. I have a beat-up Blackberry Curve, but since it functions and it's an extra $138/month to change my phone, I'll hang onto it til my contract is up. Anyway, I had some extra yarn, so I took a 5.5 mm hook and came up with this:
Yes, it clashes hideously. Do I care? NO! ^^ Its soft and makes the phone big enough that it doesn't vanish into my purse when I'm rushing to answer a call. Yup, I have high standards. ;)
The main problem I had with it though, was that my phone's camera was obscured with the yarn. My mother helped me come up with the solution to that. Add a hammer and a grommet...
Voila!
The hole is just large enough that I can take a picture without worry about the corners being obscured.
I don't have a pattern to it, otherwise I would add it. But when I'm no longer struggling with this terrible keyboard, I'll provide some guidelines I used to make it.
Hopefully I'll be able to post more regularly soon, I've 3 projects on the go and looking for more but I can't steal my mom's iphone so easily, so I'll need to dig up the old Olympus camera I gave my brother. :P
Anyway, have a great day, and leave any comments for a suggestion to improve it? :)

Charleston Cloche
Hey there!
Before I say anything, I should introduce my mom.
Much to her dismay, I had her model the hat I made for her.
Recently, her old hat wore itself out, and she asked me to make her a new one. After looking through patterns, we came across this pattern.
The hat was crocheted with old Bernat yarn of my mom's in navy blue, the flower with white Phentex yarn. I used a 5.5 mm crochet hook for the entire project. The entire piece took me about 4 hours to do.
It's a cute hat, though I had many reasons to scream and wreck the entire project. The yarn was too dark in order to see what I was doing. But personally, I think it turned out fantastic ^^.
Let me know what you think in the comments!

Hello World!
Hello to all my non-readers out there!
I say non-readers because I've never had luck with blogs, and this one will likely be no different!
My name is Mallory, and I am a university student who deals with stress (aka procrastinates) by crafting. Namely, crocheting.
This blog will host pictures and links to patterns I want to try, or have tried and post pictures of.
So thank you for reading this boring post, and let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Mallory
